Mandala Academy’s Beginner class introduces young learners to the world of classical Indian dance. Students explore form, movement sequences (adavus), melody and rhythm. Students also become familiar with South Asian folk tales and mythology, and create characters through gesture and physicality.<\/p>\n
This class runs from January 5th through May 10th. All students are invited to perform and prepare for Mandala\u2019s annual Academy Showcase<\/strong> on May 17th at the Vittum Theater.<\/span><\/p>\n This class is suited for ages 7-8.
