Learn the stories, rhythms and movement of South Asian mythology through dance! This creative movement class explores space by creating animals, heroes and demons with our hands, bodies, footwork. Students begin their journey into classical Indian dance by learning technique and vocabulary from Bharatanatyam, ultimately building complex movement sequences (adavus).<\/span><\/p>\n

This class runs from January 5th through May 10th. All students are invited to perform and prepare for Mandala\u2019s annual Academy Showcase<\/strong> on May 17th at the Vittum Theater.<\/span><\/p>\n
