Donate to promote Dance and Music with Mandala Arts

As performers and creators, Mandala Arts highlight the passionate artists that sustain South Asian arts and culture. Mandala Arts teachers and mentors honor a centuries-old tradition. We recognize the need to create new history. This keeps the work relevant for our students. The artists maintain a connection to the elders of our community through free class. A new cultural center on Devon Avenue will bring about a space for cultural gathering.

The Devon Initiative uses artistic programming to foster a sense of belonging and community within a neighborhood of unique diversity.

To provide the highest quality programs, free of cost, Mandala seeks funding to aid:

  • dance, music and art instruction related costs
  • space rentals
  • free programming for youth & seniors
  • public art installation

Mandala is seeking donations for the 2025 Breaking Barriers project that focuses on recording and disseminating immigrant narratives through music and dance, celebrating 60 years of Immigration and Nationality Act.

  • $50: Covers a one-hour music instruction session designed to engage immigrant seniors in an intergenerational program.
  • $100: Sponsors one square foot of a community mural created in Naperville for the Breaking Barriers project.
  • $250: Funds support the collection of intergenerational interviews, including the work of a researcher, videographer, and editor to bring these stories to a public platform.
  • $500: Supports 20 hours of rehearsal for a single artist preparing for the Mandala professional ensemble’s performance at the Breaking Barriers premiere.
  • $1,000: Covers the cost of a single artist or an artist ensemble to perform at the Mandala Makers Festival and Breaking Barriers project.
