Residencies

Residencies at the Indo-American Center

About the program

Mandala Arts’ residency program supports artists who both identify with South Asian traditions and seek to engage community through their art. Located off of Chicago’s Devon Avenue, the first home of South Asian immigrants in the midwest, the Indo-American Center is a community and social service center that provides resources and programs to the community. Mandala’s resident artists are offered time and space at IAC to work on personal projects and are invited to participate in the annual Mandala Makers Festival supporting emerging South Asian artists in Devon and greater Chicago. During the three month residency, artists will provide free and public programs to engage Devon’s community members. Curious?
